The State of Colorado mandates heat illness prevention training under 7 Colo. Code Regs. section 1103-15 to safeguard workers from dangerous heat exposure. Whether working on construction sites, roadwork, mining, landscaping and lawn care crews, in commercial kitchens, attics, or buildings without adequate ventilation, workers must know how to recognize the early signs of heat-related illness and know how to stay hydrated, take proper rest breaks, and respond to emergencies.
