Mandatory OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour Training Required in Paradise NV

The State of Nevada also requires all construction site workers in the state to have completed the OSHA 10 hour construction training course to gain access to construction sites in Paradise and anywhere else in NV. And supervisors must complete the OSHA 30 hour training course for construction. In addition, the State of Nevada Legislature passed AB 190 which requires non-supervisory workers employed in the entertainment industry and in cannabis establishments to complete the OSHA 10 hour general industry training course, and supervisory personnel (those who can hire and fire) to complete the OSHA 30 hour general industry training course

Mandatory Heat Illness Prevention Training in Nevada

The state of Nevada adopted a mandatory heat-illness regulation (ref: R131-24AP) in November 2024, requiring all employers in the state having more than 10 employees to implement protective measures against indoor and outdoor jobs exposing workers to high heat.

Requirements include conducting a job hazard analysis to determine high-heat jobs, developing a written heat prevention safety plan, and providing all affected workers anywhere in Nevada with heat illness prevention training before they are assigned a job or task with a high heat index. This could include, but is not limited to, trades such as construction workers, landscapers, factory workers, farm/ranch workers, warehouse workers, maintenance and service workers, stagehands, and cooks, to name but a few.

Additional Special Safety Training Considerations for Workers in Paradise NV

Many workers in and around Paradise face unique environmental and occupational hazards that require specialized safety training to prevent serious injuries and illnesses. Cold Stress Prevention Training is critical for workers who are exposed to freezing temperatures or even cool and damp conditions, whether outdoors or in refrigerated warehouses, food processing plants, or unheated job sites. Cold stress can lead to frostbite, hypothermia, and reduced dexterity, increasing the risk of accidents. Workers will learn to recognize early symptoms of cold-related illnesses and implement safe work practices to minimize risk in frigid environments.

Additionally, workers in industries such as oil and gas, storm or wastewater management, mining, and agriculture must be aware of the dangers of Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), a highly toxic gas commonly found in drilling sites, refineries, chemical plants, manure pits, grain elevators, sewers, and underground utility spaces. Without proper precautions, exposure can quickly become fatal. H2S Hazard Awareness Training helps ensure workers can identify H2S hazards, understand the importance of gas detection equipment, and follow emergency procedures to stay safe in high-risk environments.

We Are Officially Authorized OSHA Trainers in Nevada

Online OSHA 10 and 30-hour Training Courses Accepted in Nevada

There are also OSHA-authorized online 10 and 30-hour training courses available for construction and general industry. However, you must pay close attention, as only those course providers that are specifically authorized to provide these courses can issue trainees the official DOL / OSHA 10 or 30-hour wallet cards. There are plenty of imitators out there who use deceptive fine print and “too good to be true” pricing to sell you a course that is not OSHA authorized.

You can rest assured that the 10 and 30-hour online OSHA training courses offered on our website are authorized by OSHA, and are accepted in Nevada as well as in all other states and US territories. We also offer the mandatory heat illness prevention course required for all affected workers in NV.
